Ladder Audits & Inspections

We can inspect all your Fixed and Portable ladders onsite, affix inspection tags and/or Hazard tags to each ladder inspected, depending on what is appropriate and conduct general minor repairs as they are inspected to ensure the highest pass rate possible.

During the checks, our team will physically climb each fixed ladder to the top to check each nut, bolt and fixing. Should any ladders not meet code requirements the team will use height safety/abseil equipment where necessary to safely inspect the ladders.

The ladders would be tested using a combination of standards mainly AS 1657 but used in combination with ASNZS 4994, ASNZS 1892, NZ Building code, NZS 3404, NZS 4121, Guidelines for working at height and/or Guidelines for working on roofs. Given that some ladders could be welded, bolted, screwed, and/or riveted a number of guidelines are considered to ensure overall safety.

Once the on-site audit is completed, we provide a detailed report with specific ladder details on each ladder such as height/materials information, identifying factors (Such as serial number) photos if both a structural test result and a code inspection result.
