Hightlights from our recent height safety installations and engineering projects
Roof Safety Rails and Permanent Ladders
HSNZ successfully designed, supplied, and installed a comprehensive height safety solution to ensure secure access for maintenance personnel and operators performing routine checks. The project included fixed ladder access and edge handrails, providing a safe and compliant working environment.
As part of the installation, our team conducted onsite inductions, obtained necessary permits, and utilized high-quality materials, including a perimeter 3-rail balustrade, a non-caged ladder with a walkthrough extension, and secure wall brackets. Skilled, height safety-trained professionals completed the installation efficiently, ensuring a durable and reliable solution tailored to the client’s needs.
Roof Safety Single Point Anchors
HSNZ was engaged to design and install a fall arrest and restraint system for our client, ensuring safe and compliant roof access for maintenance, cleaning, and general operations. This project involved the installation of strategically placed anchor points to create a secure system for personnel working at height.
To achieve this, our team worked closely with the client to develop a practical and compliant access solution. The installation featured 12 Honeywell Xenon Interfix Swivel anchor points, specifically designed for use on metal pitched roofs, providing full 360° coverage. Upon completion, we conducted a thorough handover induction to ensure the client’s team was fully equipped to use the system safely and effectively.
Roof Safety Permanent Ladders
HSNZ designed and installed additional safety systems to improve secure access for personnel at a critical facility. The project involved extending the existing platform, installing a caged rung ladder with a lockable flap and walkthrough, and constructing a roof-mounted platform deck with full handrailing and a swing gate for the uppermost level.
Our team designed, manufactured, and installed the necessary safety structures, ensuring compliance with all relevant standards. Skilled installers and qualified safety personnel oversaw the process, completing all required permits and onsite inductions. The result was a tailored, high-quality safety solution that enhanced accessibility and security for ongoing operations.
Ceiling and Roof Access Hatch & Ladder
To improve safe access and fall protection, HSNZ designed and installed a customized system using Honeywell (Söll) and Monkeytoe products. The project included an internal fold-down ladder hatch for entry to the roof space, additional framework and walkway structures for secure movement, and an external roof hatch with a fixed ladder and extendable stiles for safe transition to the lower roof section. This fully integrated system provided a compliant and practical safety solution for maintenance personnel.
